Clegg Gifford is one of only 163 Lloyd’s brokers in the UK, selling personal and commercial insurance. It has offices in London, Edinburgh, Guernsey and Jersey.

Dock9 has worked with CG for over 8 years, transforming the company from having no meaningful digital presence to putting digital at the centre of their business generation and growth.

Self-service

CG sell a wide array of insurance products. These range from high-volume lower value products right through to bespoke high-end policies.

We identified the products that were best suited to automation and self-service for customers and built a new web architecture to offer full 'buy online' as well as self-service mid-term adjustments and renewals.

This was underpinned by a new back-office underwriting platform that allowed CG underwriters to effortlessly quote for risks that require manual intervention. 

Full MI and BDX generation is also easily available for business users at CG.

Back-end systems integration

Delivering optimal user experience as well as improving back office efficiency required integrating their digital platforms with multiple external systems.

This included the core insurance system, OpenGI, as well as multiple payment gateways, postcode lookup, DVLA lookup, SMS gateways and the government MID (Motor Insurance Database).
